Pacman vs Marquez who is the best?
Who is the best Pacman or Marquez? Today the whole boxing world will see the winner of the trilogy awaited by many boxing fans throughout world.
I am betting on Manny Pacquiao 10-1 against Juan Manuel Marquez. According to Pacman he will not be friendly this time after all what Marquez said that he is the winner in their last 2 fights.
With this taunting of Marquez, the Pacman I think will add fire to his fighting fist to wreck the ambitious man from Mexico.
Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 KOs) came in at 143 and has said this fight is personal, constantly reminding himself during training of the disrespect he felt Marquez threw his way when the three-division champion flew to Manila wearing shirts proclaiming he won their two previous bouts.
“Respect is important to me,” Pacquiao said when he met journalists a final time before the bout.
“When Marquez came to Manila wearing those shirts, it was a slap to Manny’s face. And payback’s a bitch,” said renowned trainer Freddie Roach. “I have to thank [Marquez] for that. He made it easier for me to motivate Manny.”
Marquez trainer Nacho Beristain thinks the Mexican will be able to handle the added weight.
“It’s going to be a great fight and we will try our best to beat the best fighter in the world,” he said.
“I believe I will win this fight,” said Pacquiao. “The question is what I have to do to prove I really won.”
The answer to that would be a smashing knockout, something Roach pointed to when he declared: “Don’t be surprised if this bout ends in the first round.”
Both camp are confident with their ring warrior, both are banking on experience, speed and guts. But in the final analysis, it is the best who will survive and run to the banks with millions of dollars.
Who is the best, Pacman or Marquez? Pick the best answer, your best bet.

Manny Pacquiao Promoted to Lt Colonel | Pacquiao painting
Manny Pacquiao promoted by the Armed Forces of the Philippines to Lt Colonel.
Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, the boxing icon as painted and immortalized by an artist. Look at the pictures and see the Manny Pacquiao painting.
There are things that will glorify and immortalized Manny Pacquiao the Philippine boxing great and the world's best fighter pound for pound.
Manny Pacquiao was also promoted recently although he doesn't have a college degree. He was honored also by a honorary degree in human kinetics by the Southwestern University in Cebu City which justify his promotion. He is now a lieutenant colonel (reserve) of the Philippine Army, a branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
From Master Sargeant to lieutenant colonel or a five rank leap. What a big promotion that will put some political personalities really jealous of the billionaire boxer and congressman of the Philippines. Some people are putting a question if promoting Manny Pacquiao to Lt. Col. is necessary.
Pacquiao is the only boxer in the world who is a legislator at the same time. And we can watch out if on the next Philippine presidential election he can run for vice- president and then to the highest position maybe, the president of his country.
Well Manny Pacquiao is a very lucky man indeed. A richman, a Lt Colonel, a doctor, a congressman.

Pacquiao ready to fight Marquez November 12, 2011
Manny Pacquiao is ready to fight Marquez on November 12, 2011 at Las Vegas. He wants to shut up the mouth of his talkative opponent and settle the differences through a convincing result.
Pacquiao says his making friends with opponents is over and vows to take a hard-line approach in his next fight against Juan Manuel Marquez.
Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, the pound for pound king, this time has vowed not to go easy when he puts his world title, World Boxing Organization welterweight championship belt on the line against Mexico’s Marquez on November 12 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Manny Pacquiao, the Filipino boxing champion has decisively won his last three fights over Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito and Joshua Clottey.
Pacquiao said: “If my opponent is nice and friendly to me then that carries over into the fight. Then I am not eager to finish the fight.”
Pacman added that: “Before, Marquez was saying bad things about me. Now he is saying good things about me.” Pacquiao’s record is 53-3, 2 draws, 38 KOs.
The two boxers are now promoting their world title fight. They were in the Philippines, in New York then to Mexico.
The welterweight division bout will be the third time Pacquiao and Marquez will box it over, who is the real champion and who is the convincingly winner in the three fight. Both previous big fights were close with just one round separating the two fighters. The judges’ scored the first bout a draw and Pacquiao was awarded a split decision in the rematch. Marquez insists he won both fights.
The November 12, 2011 fight will decide and settle the queztion who is the best boxer and who really won the Pacquiao vs Marquez fights.
Let us just watch and see who will shut out. But I think Marquez will be the happy guy win or lose. Marquez will have a hefty retirement pay like Margarito, Cotto and Mosley and will also run to the bank laughing. Hehehe
Rest assured Manny Pacquiao fans, Pacquiao is ready to fight Marquez on November 12, 2011.

Philippine Dragon Boat Team won Gold
Philippine Dragonboat Team won its first gold in the Dragon Boat World Championship.
The Cobra Philippine Dragon Boat Team snared its first of five gold medal prospects Friday in the World Championships at the Seddon Channel in Tampa, Florida, USA.
The contingent, sent to the competitions in the last minute after managing to get support from the private sector, claimed the men’s small-boat 1,000 meters in world record fashion, beating Australia and Hungary for the title.
The Filipinos’ clocked a world record of 4:57.13 to claim the gold. Australia won the silver medal (5:00.09), while Hungary captured the bronze (5:03.71) in the biennial meet.
It was first time small boat events were included in the biennial event, and the Philippines is making do in the category after the lack of support from the Philippine Olympic Committee and the Philippine Sports Commission blew out the country’s hopes of defending its 2007 and 2009 world titles in the standard boat division.
The 12-man Philippine Team was bannered by drummer Annabelle Pario and steer Ruperto Sabijon.
Hungary claimed the standard men’s, besting the United States and Germany with a time of three minutes and 48.32 seconds.
PH paddler Michelle Evio said the Cobra squad is trying to win as many as five gold medals in the biennial meet and the first gold in the 1,000m gave them momentum for that goal.
Update:
The Philippine Dragon Boat Team garnered 3 golds and 1 silver as of this writing. And they are expecting to snare two more golds.
Fight, team, fight for the glory of sports and country.

Pacquiao vs Marquez on November 12, 2011 Las Vegas
It's final. Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez on November 2. 2011 at Las Vegas. Not the what you called Floyd Mayweather.
Manny Pacquiao confirmed his coming fight with Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez on Nov 12 in Las Vegas. The confirmation is as good as cash.
"Tuloy na po 'yun, abangan n'yo (It's on, wait for it)," Pacquiao said during an interview with ABS-CBN's Dyan Castillejo.
The Filipino boxing superstar was, of course, referring to his third clash with Mexican great Juan Manuel Marquez on November 12 in Las Vegas.Marquez, the WBA and WBO lightweight champion, signed the contract--which assures him a personal-high $5 million purse plus a share in pay-per-view revenues--last May 19 at Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles.
Pacquiao's adviser Mike Koncz is to bring the contract to Manila for the pound-for-pound king's signature. Koncz has not arrived from the United States, though.
Under the fight's financial terms, Pacquiao will get $20 million--virtually the same amount he earned in his lopsided unanimous decision victory over Shane Mosley on May 7--plus a share in PPV revenues.
In their first fight in 2004, Pacquiao settled for a draw despite knocking Marquez down three times in the first round. They met again in 2008 at 130 pounds with Pacquiao squeezing out a split decision on the strength of a third-round knockdown.
The boxing trilogy is set at a catch weight of 144 lb with Pacquiao's WBO welterweight title also at stake. Marquez fought and lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the same catch weight in 2009.
If Juan Manuel Marquez beats Manny Pacquiao, a fourth fight will be held with the Mexican, who stands to receive $10 million.

Pacquiao vs Mosley Fight May 8, 2011 at MGM Grand
Pacquiao vs Mosley May 8, 2011 at MGM Grand/Casino at Las Vegas will settle the welterweight title. Who is the best boxer in the world at this time?
What is your bet? Bet now for the best and that is the Pacman, Manny Pacquiao, the worlds greatest boxer, the pound for pound king of the world.
Manny Pacquiao will use yellow colored gloves with matching yellow shirts for this big boxing event. Why? To show his solidarity for Pnoy, the Philippine president who represents the yellow colored supporters of his late father Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino and her mother, the latePresident Cory Aquino, of the world known yellow revolution or the people power revolution that ousted the late dictator President Ferdinand Marcos in the 1980's.
The people power revolution that brought back the Lopezes and othe big business ruling elite into power.
Manny Pacquiao is a good politician, he changed color when it is necessary. During last presidential election, he was with Manny Villar who lost to Noynoy. Before the proclamation of Pnoy, Pacquiao was in the camp of Pnoy. He he he. What a good politician Pacquiao was.
But back into sports, in the world of boxing, Manny Pacquiao I think will win the bout. Margarito is still recovering from the punishment from the Pacman. And I think this will happen again with Shane Mosley, who I think will just want to have his retirement pay.
Let us watch the Pacquiao vs Mosley Fight May 8, 2011 at MGM Grand Las Vegas, Nevada. For me Ill just watch the streaming video of this Pacquiao vs Mosley fight at home. I will give you the site I have found. Cheers for Manny Pacquiao.

Manny Pacquiao, the Pacman, along with his wife Jinkee, went to the White House as special guests of US President Barack Obama. The meeting between Manny Pacquiao, the people’s champion and pound for pound king was made by Senator Harry Reid whom Pacquiao helped during the last Senatorial campaign in the US. Manny Pacquiao from the Saranggani, Mindanao, Philippines meet the world’s most powerful people.
Imagine a boxer went to and invited by no less than the President of the United States of America, the wealthiest and center of the capitalist system, he must be very lucky. The former president of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal, have a hard time arranging a meeting with President Obama.
Manny Pacquiao, indeed is a very lucky world class boxer. I don’t know and remember a boxer who was invited to the White House.
